David Manley established Newmarket Consulting in 1979 and his ethos of integrity, imagination and enterprise still underpins our approach. After David passed away in 2002, a group of his friends established the David Manley Emerging Entrepreneur Awards, which nurture the enterprising spirit in Ireland’s arts, business and social spheres. Newmarket Consulting continue to be strongly involved with the David Manley Awards.

Newmarket has worked with Karan Thompson Consulting Limited on the development and implementation of a 6-month national awareness building and advocacy campaign aimed at defining the future strategic direction of music education provision in Ireland. As part of this programme we developed a series of events and activities in order to raise awareness of the existence of the Department of Education’s pilot project for Music Education Partnerships 

Newmarket were retained to carry out focus groups over a number of months with clients of RehabCare who were taking part in a training course on Policy Making. The group consisted of people with disabilities of various ages and abilities. The purpose of the assignment was to ensure that the course was developed in line with the needs of the clients, that the desired outcomes were achieved and that learning from the research 

Newmarket worked with National College of Ireland to evaluate their marketing activities in relation to the College and its various faculties. The project was structured around a series of interviews and focus groups with relevant market segments. A project management approach was used which involved marketing and subsequently project management workshops so as to maximise the involvement of the NCI in the process and to ensure that skills in marketing
